Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall

Artists including Roger Daltrey, Kasabian and Wet Leg performed a series of gigs at the Royal Albert Hall, to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Challenge

Music and comedy unite to fight cancer

Roger Daltrey is honorary patron of Teenage Cancer Trust and is best known as the lead singer of legendary band, The Who.

Since 2000, he has been bringing the biggest names in music and comedy together to raise money to help young people face the chaos of cancer.

The series of gigs take place at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, with over 35,000 fans attending over the course of the week.

The Solution

Attendees encouraged to donate via text

Teenage Cancer Trust registered the keyword RAH for the gigs. Not only was this simple for supporters to type, but it also related to the iconic venue.

During each show, supporters were asked to take their phones out and shine their lights for a selfie. Then, whilst their phone was out, they were asked to donate via text message.

The Text Giving call-to-action was also displayed on signage throughout the venue, to give supporters as many opportunities as possible to donate.
