Strictly Dance for Mental Health
Text Giving was used to collect donations for mental health charity, Restore, whilst allowing supporters to vote for their favourite act in the Strictly Brackley dance competition

The Challenge
Vote system needed for dance competition
Strictly Brackley was a fundraising dance competition in aid of Restore. The event took inspiration from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Contestants from the local area had six weeks to learn their routines before two live performances on show night!
The Solution
Vote and donate via Text Giving
A Text Giving keyword was registered for each couple, with the audience able to text to vote for their favourite act, whilst donating to mental health charity, Restore.
Allowing attendees to vote encouraged engagement with the event, as well as raising vital funds for Restore’s work.
“Text is such an ubiquitous channel it was ideal for Strictly Brackley. Everyone loved the show and understood texting: a great way to involve supporters and raise funds.”
