Saint Mary’s experienced a loss of donations due to the Covid-19 lockdown. They promoted their Text Giving campaign at virtual services, making over £600.

Drop in donations

Saint Mary’s noticed a marked drop in cash donations as a result of the lockdown, and needed to work out an easy way to engage with people at home.

Inspired by other churches’ use of Text Giving, they decided to try it out for themselves.

The Solution

Virtual promotion

St Mary’s promoted their campaign both visually and verbally at their virtual services, to take the place of collection buckets.

They made the campaign personal by including case studies, and clearly demonstrating what the money would be used for.
