About Wesley's Chapel & Leysian Mission

Wesley’s Chapel and Leysian Mission is a Methodist Church, and is open to the public Monday through Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm in addition to public worship. It has served the local and global community from this site near the City of London since 1778, with the present church formed by the union of two local congregations in 1989.

The Chapel has a membership of just under 500 from over 25 different countries. It welcomes over 20,000 visitors per year to the Museum of Methodism and John Wesley’s House, as well as engaging in a full programme of local service.

John Wesley described his chapel as “perfectly neat but not fine” and the building is a fine example of Georgian architecture. It was the first Methodist preaching house to allow for the celebration of Holy Communion.

Wesley's Chapel and Leysian Mission are a charity Registered in England & Wales (Charity No.1137321).

We help UK charities to make the world a better place, one fundraising campaign at a time.

Here at Donr, we work closely with our charity partners to create exciting, informative pages to raise the funds they need to change lives.

Just like other leading platforms, we take a small fee of 5% (plus card processing fees) per donation made. However, at Donr, this fee gets charities so much more than a static page; our extensive service instead offers a skilled team who research, write, design, develop and even provide digital marketing assistance to launch the page.

If you know a charity with a story to tell, please visit Donr's website for more information.
